Simon Van Olmen, new CEO of Multiscan Technologies, replaces Álvaro Soler, who assumes the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors
Multiscan Technologies announces the appointment of Simon Van Olmen as new CEO, replacing Álvaro Soler, who after 22 years as CEO will assume the position of chairman of the board of directors and advisor to the new CEO.
Simon Van Olmen is a co-founding partner of Multiscan Technologies and since its creation in 1996 until 2018 served as the company’s technical director (CTO). In recent years he has actively participated as a special advisor and has always been present in the strategic decisions making Multiscan’s growth possible.
Álvaro Soler, after a long career at the helm of the company, has considered that it is the ideal moment for “a younger co-founding partner” to take command of Multiscan. According to Álvaro Soler, “the decision was easy because Simon has been present along Multiscan’s history. I have great confidence in his leadership skills, as he had with me, and combined with his experience in technology and vision systems he will keep Multiscan’s endeavor towards continuous innovation to offer the best solutions to our customers. I believe I pass on to Simon a well structured company with an incredible talented team”.
Simon Van Olmen takes on this new challenge with enthusiasm and with the aim of maintaining the disruptive spirit that characterizes Multiscan. “The company will continue to advance in its growth and expansion objectives. We will continue to build on differentiation in our applications and on penetrating new markets and sectors. Internationalization and innovation continue to be the key pillars of our strategy; sustainability and talent management will also represent a greater role”
The transition process has already started. Álvaro Soler will continue active assisting the board of directors, the CEO and the management team of the company.
